Yes. Ripley is free for both supervisees and supervisors, supported by ads. If you prefer no ads, an optional Ad-Free subscription is available, and organizations can set up an Enterprise plan for their whole team. Core hour tracking is never paywalled.

The BACB requires 2,000 hours of Supervised Fieldwork, or 1,500 hours of Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork (each concentrated hour counts as 1.333 supervised-equivalent hours). Each supervisory period must stay within 20–130 hours under the pre-2027 rules or 20–160 hours under the 2027 rules, and meet the applicable supervision minimum. Ripley tracks the selected rule set as you log hours.

Starting in 2027, the monthly cap rises from 130 to 160 hours, concentrated supervision drops from 10% to 7.5%, and the old contact and observation counts are replaced by 60 cumulative observation minutes for Supervised Fieldwork or 90 for Concentrated. Yes, Ripley will do that for you. You have the ability to print your monthly verification form for the BACB at the end of the month. You can auto-generate a form with all of your data from that month prefilled. Then you can sign the form electronically and have it emailed as a pdf to you, your supervising BCBA, or both.

When Ripley was designed, the software engineers and planners decided that Ripley would not contain any of the 18 identifiers that trigger HIPAA compliance.

In other words, by not having electronic protected health information, or ePHI as it is called it would make the tracker much more simple.

If you review the 18 client patient identifiers below, Ripely Fieldwork Tracker does not for any of those. All these identifiers below are with respect to the Patient being treated.

• Address (all geographic subdivisions smaller than state, including street address, city county, and zip code)
• Dates (except years) related to an individual (such as birthdate, admission date, discharge date, date of death, and exact age if over 89)
• Telephone numbers
• Fax number
• Email address
• Social Security Number
• Medical record number
• Health plan beneficiary number
• Account number
• Certificate or license number
• Vehicle identifiers and serial numbers, including license plate numbers
• Device identifiers and serial numbers
• Web URL
• Internet Protocol (IP) Address
• Finger or voice print
• Photographic images
• Any other characteristic that could uniquely identify the individual

It is important that users do not add HIPAA-protected ePHI information to the tracker. This approach would apply to all devices, texts, emails, conversations, in which it would be important not to supply this information as a note would not require personal health information.
