Does CST Academy provide BCBA supervision?

Yes. Supervision at CST Academy runs through the Apex Program, its structured pathway for ABA Therapists and graduate students working toward BCBA certification. Each participant is paired with a Responsible Supervisor BCBA for 1:1 mentorship, hands-on clinical experience, and consistent feedback throughout fieldwork.

Apex also includes exam prep support, a peer cohort community, and exposure to CST Academy’s speech, OT, and PT teams for a well-rounded clinical foundation. Apex participants get complimentary access to Ripley Fieldwork Tracker to keep hours and supervision goals organized. Graduates are prioritized for BCBA roles within CST Academy and continue on through a BCBA Mentorship Program after certification.

RBT to BCBA fieldwork at CST Academy

Working as a paid behavior technician can count toward your BCBA fieldwork hours, but only when the activities, supervision, monthly contacts, and documentation meet BACB standards. Employment alone doesn’t automatically make every hour count.

1. 1. Confirm your supervisor. Make sure the BCBA overseeing your hours is qualified and has the availability to provide the required contacts and observations.
2. 2. Get the agreement in writing first. Responsibilities, supervision format, and documentation expectations should be spelled out before you start counting hours.
3. 3. Build in unrestricted work. Direct therapy is usually restricted, so make sure activities like assessment, data analysis, training, and program development are part of your schedule too.
4. 4. Reconcile monthly. Review your hours, percentages, contacts, and observations, and complete the Monthly Verification Form before the month closes.
