Common Mistakes New BCBAs Make
Every new role comes with a learning curve. I am curious what mistakes new BCBAs tend to make early on. Not in a judgmental way, but as a way to normalize growth. For RBTs on this path, what would you want to avoid? For BCBAs, what would you do differently if you could go back?
I would say dont make any changes in the first month of being on the case. Get to know your staff, clients and parents well first.
RBT here, I am expected to graduate and sit for the exam in August/September this year. I am a little nervous about insurance and caregiver consultation. My employer is great and preparing me in every way, but I would like to hear from some others what ways you guys prepared for this and what you still do to help facilitate communication with families/caregivers and if the insurance aspect is something I should be stressing over lol
