Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations on unrestricted activities for concentrated hours?

Creation and presentation of behavior analytic staff trainings and parent trainings has been helpful for both obtaining my hours and building a more knowledgeable and collaborative community at our clinic. Additionally, you can meet with supervisors to discuss recent behavior analytic research (such as AI in ABA and assent-based care), staff training, IOA, etc. For assessments, QABFs are easy, and usually required annually. You can also look at previous skill-based assessments for your clients and compare their progress, posing potential upcoming areas to target to your supervisors. However, before you do anything, check with your supervisors to ensure that what you’re doing counts as unrestricted work.

I have been loving making graphs from scratch for clients and manually entering data

The VB-MAPPS app offers free training on how to conduct assessments — including AFLS, VB-MAPPS progress assessments, and barriers assessments.
You can find the training here, its under the training tab, there is also paid training but I just used the free one. https://vbmappapp.com/home
Make sure to review and apply relevant research articles that align with your clients’ programs. These can help you better understand the skills being targeted and support high-quality implementation of goals.
You should routinely run VB-MAPPS assessments, barriers assessments, and ESTA assessments as indicated by the client’s needs and goals.
Check all of these with your supervisors though, mine approved these for hour accrual.

In regards to the chat gpt suggestion, always run it through your supervisor first.

I have been practicing caregiver training with some of my clients. I also try to review my client’s data each time I am in a session with them, even if its just 15 minutes throughout or to reference when writing my session note.

Hi, great question! Pose this question on AI (i.e. Chat or CoPilot) and the platform will give you a list of unrestricted activities. Also, consider detailing your role, duties, daily activities and ask the AI platform to help you create a bank of unrestricted activities tying in the BACB task list number that are specific to your work and learning.
