Scary Pop Up Ad??

I pay for Ripley so I don’t see any ads. Today when I logged in a pop up came up saying I needed to pay to keep my fieldwork hours or they would all be deleted. It said something like “normally $350, pay now and it’s only $197” or something like that. Wish I had taken a picture but I closed the tab out fast as I could. Since then I’ve used Ripley with no more pop ups or issues but just wondering if this is something to be concerned about if my account is hacked or something? Downloaded all my hour logs to be safe.
