Something You Wish People Outside the Field Understood

There are parts of this job that are hard to explain to people who are not in it. I have found myself struggling to put certain experiences into words.
Curious what others wish people understood better about this work. What feels hardest to explain?

Everyone asked me what ABA is I explain to them that its a sciencific way to look at behavior and being able to analize what is motivating that behavior and how can I change it while used research eveidnced based practices. There are times that I will end of defining behavior based on the dead man theory (if a dead man can do it then its not behavior). I have learned that being able to give examples of there own behavior of what they are doing or what is around the environment that can be modifed helps them understand.
