Account Access
Grant or remove a supervisor's access to your Ripley account, always initiated by the supervisee.
Updated July 15, 2026
Ripley lets you share your recorded time entries with one or more supervisors. When you grant Account Access, those supervisors can view your hour entries and track your overall progress. Verification form PDFs are generated pre-filled and completed with your supervisor outside Ripley.
Before you start
Account Access is tied to your supervisor’s Ripley account email. Make sure you enter the exact email address your supervisor uses for their Ripley Fieldwork Tracker account.
Your supervisor must already have an active Ripley account before access can be granted.
Account Access is separate from simply listing a supervisor for tracking purposes. If you only need to add a supervisor for tracking (without giving them full access to your account), use the “+ Add New Supervisor” button on the Supervisors page.
Granting Account Access to a Supervisor
- Go to My Profile and open the Supervisors page.
- Find your supervisor in the table. If they are not listed yet, click + Add New Supervisor and add them with the email address they use for their Ripley account.
- The Account Access column next to their name says No Access. Click Grant, then OK.
- A "Supervisor access granted." message appears and the column changes to Has Access. Your supervisor can now see your hour entries and progress when they log in to Ripley.
If the column says No account, no Ripley account uses that email address. Ask your supervisor which email they signed up with and change it with the edit icon, or ask them to create an account first. If it says No email, click the edit icon next to their name and add their email.
Removing Account Access from your Supervisor
- Go to My Profile and open the Supervisors page.
- In the Account Access column next to the supervisor’s name, click Remove, then OK.
- That supervisor can no longer view your hour entries, progress, or verification forms from their own login.
Deleting a supervisor from your list also removes their access.
