Ripley Forum Guidelines & Disclaimer
Effective Date: January 13, 2026
Purpose
The Ripley Forum is a peer-to-peer space for trainees and supervisors to discuss workflows, tools, and general professional topics. Ripley is not a clinical supervisor, employer, or credentialing body, and forum content is not reviewed for accuracy.
Respectful conduct (required)
Treat others with professionalism and respect.
-
No harassment, bullying, hate speech, slurs, or targeted insults.
-
No threats of violence, encouragement of harm, or intimidation.
-
No discriminatory or dehumanizing content based on identity or protected characteristics.
-
No trolling, “dogpiling,” or hostile pile-ons. Disagree with ideas, not people.
(These expectations mirror widely used community standards across established platforms.)
Privacy, confidentiality, and safety
You must protect privacy and confidentiality at all times.
-
Do not post client/patient/student identifying information, PHI, case notes, session data, screenshots, or documents that could identify a person or organization.
-
Do not post anyone’s private information (doxxing), including addresses, phone numbers, emails, workplace details, or full names tied to sensitive context.
-
If you share a story, remove or change details so it cannot be traced back to a real person or case.
No professional, legal, or compliance advice
The forum does not provide medical/clinical, legal, financial, or compliance advice. Use the forum for general discussion only. For decisions that affect clients, supervision, licensure, employment, or credentialing requirements, consult qualified professionals and rely on official sources.
Integrity and ethics
Do not use Ripley to request or provide help that enables wrongdoing, including (but not limited to):
-
falsifying or misrepresenting supervision/fieldwork hours,
-
evading supervision requirements or documentation standards,
-
sharing confidential materials you do not have the right to distribute.
Content standards
Keep posts constructive and on-topic.
-
No spam, affiliate pushing, repetitive self-promotion, or unsolicited advertising.
-
No impersonation or misleading identity claims.
-
No obscene/sexually explicit content.
-
No illegal content, instructions for illegal activity, or content that promotes or glorifies violence.
-
Respect intellectual property: don’t repost paywalled/copyrighted content or proprietary materials. Summarize in your own words and cite the source when appropriate.
Moderation, enforcement, and reporting
Ripley may moderate the forum to keep it safe and useful.
-
We may remove or restrict content that violates these rules (or creates safety/privacy risk), with or without notice.
-
Accounts may be limited, suspended, or removed for violations or repeated disruption.
-
If you see a problem, do not engage. Use the forum’s reporting tools (or the site’s support/contact option) so moderators can review.
No emergency support
If there is an urgent safety risk or emergency, do not use the forum. Contact local emergency services or appropriate authorities.
Disclaimer of responsibility
Forum posts are user-generated. Ripley does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or outcomes and is not responsible for user content or decisions made based on forum discussions. Use your professional judgment and follow applicable rules, ethics codes, and official requirements.
